Birtar hafa verið teikningar af því hvernig stóra landeldisstöðin í Belfast í Maine mun líta út. Norska fyrirtækið Nordic Aquafarms er á bakvið verkefnið. Þegar stöðin verður komin í fulla rekstur mun hún framleiða 33 þúsund tonn af laxi á ári.

“Nordic Aquafarms has released a series of illustrations on social media that’ll show what the site will look like when construction starts at its site in Belfast, Maine, USA.
The company’s President Erik Heim wrote in a press release last month that the 850,000 GSF aquaculture production facility will be built in two phases, with the first phase targeted for completion in 2021.”
